Principal Dentist
Parmajit Kaur Athwal
BDS(Lond) MFGDP(UK)
GDC number: 80971
Parm graduated from the Royal London Dental School in 2002. She then went on to complete one year of vocational training in Wolverhampton before moving to work as an associate dentist in Bloxwich. Wanting to get more involved in the running of a practice in 2005 she joined forces with Kam and they took over a small Wolverhampton city centre practice. They soon put their own mark on the place with an extensive refurbishment and have continued to develop all aspects of the practice ever since. Since adding Wightwick Dental to her portfolio she now shares her time equally between the two practices.
Since graduating Parm has been committed to improving her clinical skills and to lifelong continuing professional development. She achieved Membership to the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in 2004 and soon after her enthusiasm for restorative dentistry led her to complete a year long course with Michael Wise, a renowned specialist in the field. In 2007 she was awarded a certificate in implant Dentistry from The Gift Dental College in association with The University of Warwick.
Parm is an accredited inman aligner, cfast and smile tru practitioner. These are forms of minimally invasive cosmetic treatments which involve tooth alignment and are usually followed up with a course of teeth whitening treatment. She is also trained to perform facial aesthetic treatments such as anti wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
It has always been important to Parm to make anxious patients feel at ease when they come to see her. As well as her gentle and calming nature she is able to provide inhalation or oral sedation for those patients that require it. In her spare time Parm enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching Rom-coms, cooking and cycling. She has two charming young boys who keep her very busy.
